Cleaning Tips From As It Should Be Cleaning

On this page

We have been cleaning offices since 1988, and we have firm views on how it should be done. This page holds our vacuuming video and our articles. They are written for the people who run offices, clinics, stores and churches in the East Valley, whether or not we clean for them.

Vacuuming tips for effective cleaning

Check out this video for some helpful vacuuming techniques. They can improve the result of any commercial cleaning or janitorial service.

Our own tip: clean equipment, and a closet to keep it in

We wrote this one in 2024 and it still stands. It is always a good idea to make sure that your cleaning company is not bringing dirty, contaminated equipment to clean your office. A dirty mop, rags or even a vacuum used at other facilities and then brought to yours can bring along millions of germs. If possible, it is best to give the cleaning service a custodial closet. That helps keep the equipment and supplies used to clean your office from becoming cross-contaminated with the last office’s germs. The longer version is in our article on cross-contamination mistakes in cleaning.
